Our property is conveniently located just minutes from Old Town Temecula with many restaurants, live music & shopping. We are surrounded by local vineyards, golf courses and farms. We are a convenient drive only one hour from San Diego and 1.5 from LA.
Robert 'Bob' Morris rode his horse into Temecula in 1969 and fell in love with the land. He became the pioneer architect of rebuilding Old Town in the 1970s. He built his own home in DeLuz to resemble 1800's California at the same time. He lived here at the ranch until he passed away in 2018 at the age of 85. He was known as a master story teller and founder of the once famous Temecula Tractor Mud Races, riding his custom built tractor, Sod Buster, for many years.
Bob was known to drive long distances to rescue historical elements on building that were being torn down. We have here on the ranch roof embellishments from wood crates that carried Palomar telescope lenses, embossed metal ceiling tiles from Alberhill Post Office, wood from Hemet Stock Farm & Vail barns, windows from old Murrieta Hot Springs and most of the wood from a turkey plant in Montana. You'll continue to be surprised at all the details you find here on the ranch!
Bob designed and built the iconic arches at the two entrances of Front Street in Old Town as well as many buildings and the sidewalk medallions on the corners of Front and Main St. You will see many similar elements here on the the ranch.
We are proud to be the stewards of Bob's vision for the ranch. We strive to honor and respect his values and dreams as we repair and improve this unique and magical piece of history. What we wouldn't do for an afternoon stroll with Bob around the property to learn more about his process!
We’d love to show you the Ranch in person!
